Kochi: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Asian School of Architecture and Design Innovation (ASADI) and the Centre for Heritage, Environment, and Development (C-HED) for a study in preparation for the rejuvenation of the Thevara-Perandoor Canal. The MoU was signed by ASADI Chairman Architect Prof. B.R. Ajith and C-HED Secretary Dr. Rajan Cherampath.
The study is part of an urban rejuvenation project aimed at enhancing the operational efficiency of the canal while preserving its ecological, cultural, and historical significance. The project also involves submitting proposals for necessary design concepts, architectural ideas, and sustainable frameworks.
The research and preparation of the study report are being carried out under the leadership of architects Shobitha, Shibili, and Athul, along with ASADI’s ninth-semester architecture students.
