Visad AI Poster Maker App has surpassed 1 lakh downloads, offering small businesses affordable, high-quality poster designs using mobile photos.
Kochi: The Wizad AI Poster Maker app, designed to provide high-quality poster designs at an affordable cost for small business owners and entrepreneurs, has crossed over one lakh downloads. The app, developed during the COVID-19 pandemic by Sanid M.T.P, Ritwik Puravankara, and Ashik Abdul Khader, allows users to create world-class poster designs using photos taken on their mobile phones. Initially, Wizad focused on creating designs for some brands, but the team recognized the potential to democratize design for small business owners. “Today, Wizad has customers from all over the world,” said Sanid. These posters are particularly essential for small businesses during festival seasons. Last Onam, Wizad helped create over two lakh posters.
The team is eagerly anticipating the Christmas-New Year market season. Ritwik Puravankara, co-founder of Wizad, explained that users need only to take a photo and provide product details on the app, after which AI handles the design. Users can choose their preferred design from the best options generated by AI. Ashik Abdul Khader, another co-founder, highlighted that designing and photography are among the most expensive advertising methods today. For small businesses, it’s often unaffordable to always rely on professional services. Wizad aims to solve this issue.
The app allows users to design 30 posters for free after downloading it. Beyond that, the cost is just ₹499 for 100 designs. With the ₹1499 plan, users can access unlimited designs. The app is available for both Android and iOS, and can also be downloaded from the website. Wizad has received funding from the Kerala Startup Mission, including angel investment and seed funding. The app is part of various programs like the NVIDIA Inception Program, T-AIM, and NASSCOM 10,000 Startups. The future of Wizad includes offering more services such as video generation and simplified marketing tools, with plans to expand to over 100 languages. With over 10 million posters designed already, the target is now set for 10 million downloads. Co-founders emphasized that, beyond business growth, raising awareness among small traders is also a key goal.
