AOICON 2025 goes paperless with a dedicated app that delivers event details, notifications, and photos, enhancing the experience for all delegates.
Kochi: The 76th National Conference of the Association of Otolaryngologists of India (AOICON 2025), taking place at Le Meridien, Ernakulam, is a fully paperless event, according to Dr. K.G. Saju, Treasurer of the organizing committee.
In an effort to be more eco-friendly, the conference has replaced traditional brochures with a specially designed app, through which all event information will be accessible to delegates. Around 4,000 participants are expected at the conference, and the event’s details will be available on the “AOICON 2025” app. This app can be downloaded from both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
Through the app, delegates will be able to access all necessary information, including registration, paper submissions, and schedules for paper presentations. Notifications will be sent to delegates’ phones 10 minutes before their paper presentations, ensuring they arrive at the correct hall on time.
Additionally, the app will provide delegates with photos taken at the event. Using AI technology, the app can identify individuals in photos and send them directly to their phones. The app also includes a system for assisting judges in determining the results of competitions.
Dr. Saju emphasized that the use of technology in this way not only makes the conference paperless but also ensures a more streamlined and efficient experience for all participants.
