KVVES Youth Wing Pays Tribute to Business Leader C. J. Roy in Kochi

KVVES Ernakulam District Youth Wing organised a condolence meeting in Kochi to pay tribute to noted entrepreneur C. J. Roy. Former MP Sebastian Paul demanded a judicial inquiry into the circumstances surrounding his death, calling it a major loss to the business community.

Kochi: Former MP Sebastian Paul described C. J. Roy as a visionary entrepreneur who built one of South India’s finest real estate ventures, the Confident Group, through sheer self-effort. He said Roy was a businessman who ran his enterprise without borrowing even a single rupee and demanded that the circumstances leading to his death be brought to light through a judicial inquiry.

Sebastian Paul was inaugurating the condolence meeting organised by the Kerala Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi (KVVES) Ernakulam District Youth Wing in Kochi. The meeting was presided over by Pradeep Jose, State Working President of the Youth Wing.

KVVES Ernakulam District President P. C. Jacob said that the death of C. J. Roy has caused an irreparable loss not only to his family but also to the entire business community. KVVES District Secretary and Rehabilitation Committee Chairman Shajahan Abdul Khader expressed shock that, despite Roy’s wide influence and associations across various organisations in his field of work, many had failed to express condolences following his demise.

Several leaders addressed the condolence meeting, including District General Secretary C. S. Ramachandran, Kathrikadavu Unit President K. Muhammad Ali, Women’s Wing District President Jaya Peter, State Secretary Sindhu Ramesh, Pachalam Unit Working President Suresh Gopi, Youth Wing State Secretary K. C. Muraleedharan, Srinath Mangalath, District General Secretary Vinod Baby, Treasurer Ajmal Kampai, Binu Thevara, P. P. Rahul, Anoop Chittoor, Deepu Joseph, Martin Changampuzha, and Roy Thevara.

Following the meeting, young traders paid homage to C. J. Roy by lighting candles at High Court Junction, Kochi.
