Income Tax Department’s Inspection at Confident Group Office Was a Routine Annual Check: MD T.A. Joseph

Confident Group reaffirmed that the Income Tax inspection was a routine annual process and strongly denied all allegations of financial misconduct or agency raids.

Kochi: The inspection conducted by the Income Tax Department at the office of Confident Group was only a routine annual verification and not based on any complaint or irregularity, said Confident Group Managing Director T.A. Joseph during a press conference.

He stated that the misinformation being spread by certain YouTubers on social media, maligning the late Confident Group Chairman C.J. Roy, is deeply distressing and questioned whether such actions can be considered responsible journalism. He categorically denied claims that agencies such as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had conducted any raids at Confident Group offices, calling such allegations completely baseless.

The Managing Director emphasized that since its inception, the company has never cheated anyone or collected money unlawfully from any individual. No one other than Confident Group’s legitimate clients has invested money with the company. He further stated that if anyone could produce evidence of such transactions, the company is prepared to repay double the amount involved.

Confident Group, which has grown into a responsible organization under the banner of “Confident Master Builder,” has been falsely portrayed by some as being involved in smuggling, benami transactions, and money laundering. However, those who trust the company clearly understand the reality, he said, adding that the company has never engaged in any illegal trade.

He also clarified that Confident Group operates with separate but coordinated divisions in Bengaluru and Kerala. Construction activities are currently progressing efficiently, and several new projects are in the planning stage. The company’s success, he noted, is rooted in its core operational philosophy of “Sales, Collection, and Construction.”
