KOCHI: Students are not just the dream and hope of their parents, but of this entire nation, and they should be able to reach high positions and contribute to the progress of the country, Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan said. He was speaking after inaugurating the ‘Pratibha Sangamam’ (Talent Meet) and the MLA Merit Award distribution ceremony organized at the Mahatma Gandhi Municipal Town Hall in Aluva.
In a modern world where knowledge is changing rapidly, students must take up challenges and become the best. Major changes are happening globally in the employment sector. To tackle this, timely changes are essential in the field of higher education. New academic programs and modern learning systems need to be brought into the state. The Chief Minister clarified that the government is moving forward with steps to attract the world’s leading universities to Kerala for this purpose.
The expansion of technology is bringing about major changes in the administrative sector as well. The government aims for a data-driven governance system. For this, a special dashboard has been set up in the Chief Minister’s Office with the help of Artificial Intelligence. He added that through this, the public and the media can transparently evaluate the progress of around 550 projects aimed to be completed within a hundred days. The advancement achieved in the field of education, especially by girls, is commendable. The Chief Minister also said that the presence of students from Kerala in the country’s prominent universities is noteworthy.
The Chief Minister specially congratulated Anwar Sadath MLA, who is actively involved in the development matters of the Aluva constituency and the needs of the students, on the stage. He also assured that favorable action would be taken regarding setting up a special training system for the Civil Services examination in Aluva. Replying to a student’s question, he said that the concession granted to women in KSRTC is a mark of respect toward them, and social and economic progress is expected through it. The Chief Minister honored swimming coach Saji Valassery at the function.
Anwar Sadath MLA presided over the event. Members of Parliament Benny Behanan and Jebi Mather were the chief guests. Aluva Municipality Chairperson Saiji Jolly, Jain University Director Dr. Tom M.
