New Delhi : Strengthening the strategic partnership between India and the UAE, a decision has been made to integrate India’s DigiLocker with the UAE’s digital platform. The announcement was made during the 7th high-level meeting of the India-UAE Joint Consular Affairs Committee (JCAC) held in New Delhi.The meeting was attended by Sripriya Ranganathan, Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, and H.E. Omar Obaid Mohamed Al Hassan Alshamsi, Undersecretary in the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs.This initiative is set to unlock immense employment and educational opportunities for Indian professionals and youth in the Gulf region.

By linking DigiLocker with UAE platforms, Indian academic degrees and other essential documents can be verified digitally. This will completely eliminate complex physical verification procedures for Indian job seekers in the UAE, making recruitment and career advancement significantly faster and smoother.
This decision marks a critical milestone in ensuring the welfare of lakhs of Indian workers and professionals residing in the UAE. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, alongside enhancing the credibility of Indian human resources, this initiative will inject new energy into trade, industrial, and educational cooperation between both nations.
