Kochi: Five underprivileged women will be married at a mass wedding ceremony to be held on January 1, 2027, at Chackolas Pavilion in Kalamassery, Ernakulam, business trainer Dr. Anil Balachandran and his family announced at a press conference held at the Ernakulam Press Club. The mass wedding is being organised as part of their charitable initiatives under the name ‘Deerkha Sumangalee Bhava’. This will be the fourth time that Dr. Anil Balachandran and his family are organising such a mass wedding. Similar ceremonies were previously held twice in Kayamkulam and once in Kozhikode. The ceremony will be attended by prominent personalities from the social and cultural sectors, elected representatives and people from various walks of life.
