Kochi: Indian automotive company Simple Energy has launched the Simple Wave, its first family-oriented electric scooter. Designed specifically for Indian families, the company has introduced six models across the Simple Wave S, Simple Wave and Simple Wave+ variants.
Customers can choose a scooter based on their individual commuting requirements, with different battery capacities, display technologies and connected features available across the range.
The top-end Simple Wave+ is powered by a 5 kWh battery pack and offers an IDC range of up to 243 km and a top speed of 90 kmph. It is equipped with a 6.4 kW PMSM motor that produces 179 Nm of wheel torque. The range also includes 3.7 kWh, 2.7 kWh and 2.2 kWh battery configurations, offering ranges of up to 171 km and 110 km (IDC), depending on the variant. All variants come with multiple riding modes, including Ride, Eco and Eco X, while higher variants also feature a Sport mode for enhanced performance.

Designed around the way Indian families use scooters for everyday mobility, the Simple Wave combines practicality, technology and comfort. With an IDC range of up to 243 km, the Simple Wave scooters offer up to 70 litres of storage space, including a 4-litre auxiliary storage compartment, an under-seat compartment with a capacity of up to 63 litres and a 3-litre glove box, catering to the practical needs of Indian families.
