Kozhikode: Government Cyberpark, Kozhikode, hosted the WP Future Conclave 2026, a conference dedicated to exploring the future of WordPress, artificial intelligence and the expanding open-source technology ecosystem. Organised by WordPress Community Kerala, the conclave brought together developers, designers, entrepreneurs, students and technology professionals from across different states to exchange ideas and insights on the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
The event featured a series of sessions and discussions focusing on emerging trends and technologies shaping the future of web development. Experts shared insights into web browser operations, data privacy, AI-assisted website development, Model Context Protocol (MCP), WordPress Playground, AI-powered tools and cybersecurity. The sessions highlighted how artificial intelligence can complement human capabilities, improve productivity and enhance efficiency in web technology and digital innovation.
A significant highlight of the conclave was the recognition of Kerala’s contribution to the global open-source community. The Kerala open-source community showcased its achievement of completing the Malayalam translation of WordPress over an 11-year period, marking an important milestone in making one of the world’s most widely used content management platforms more accessible to Malayalam-speaking users.
The conclave concluded with engaging discussions on the future evolution of WordPress, the growing role of artificial intelligence in web technologies and the opportunities emerging within the open-source ecosystem.
