Morning Star College BPES Students Clean Up Chokramudi Peak During Adventure Trek

ANGAMALY:  First-year Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports (BPES) students from Morning Star Home Science College, Angamaly, set an inspiring example of environmental stewardship by conducting a cleanup drive along Chokramudi Peak in Devikulam during a two-day adventure camp on September 15 and 16, 2026. While trekking up the mountain to witness the rare Neelakurinji blooms that flower once every twelve years, the student group noticed plastic waste and debris littered along the scenic trail by tourists. Taking immediate initiative, the students collected and removed the discarded plastic waste while descending the peak. Their proactive social commitment and environmental responsibility earned widespread praise from Forest Department officials, local residents, and fellow tourists visiting the area.
