Malankara Orthodox Church Commences Construction of ‘Prasobha’ Senior Citizen Township in Paingottoor

PAINGOTTOOR  (KOCHI) : Construction work for ‘Prasobha’, a dedicated senior citizen township project initiated by the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, was officially inaugurated at Paingottoor–Pothanicad in Ernakulam district. His Holiness Baselios Marthoma Mathews III, Catholicos of the East and Malankara Metropolitan, performed the ground-breaking ceremony. Designed to provide safe, comfortable, and comprehensive holistic care for senior citizens, the township project addresses the growing demand for specialized eldercare infrastructure in the region. The inauguration ceremony was attended by key church dignitaries and civic leaders, including Lay Trustee Rony Varghese, Working Committee Member Fr. Jacob Kurian, Kandanad West Diocese Secretary Fr. Jose Thomas, alongside Paingottoor Panchayat President Shebi Jacob and Vice President Sisi Jayson.
