KOCHI: The fifth edition of the prestigious ‘Brain Hunt 2026’ inter-school quiz competition, organized by the Rotary Club of Cochin Queen City, concluded with grand enthusiasm at St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam, on September 19, 2026. Designed to foster intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and academic excellence among high school students across Central Kerala, the landmark event witnessed intense competition among 91 student teams representing over 35 leading schools. The three-member team from Bhavans Vidya Mandir, Girinagar, comprising Kiran Thomas, Nakul, and Saket Sandeep, showcased exceptional trivia depth and analytical speed to emerge as the ultimate champions of Brain Hunt 2026. Rajagiri Public School, Kalamassery, represented by Abel Xavier, Joseph Tom, and Luke Jose George, secured the second place, while the team from Bhavans Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara, comprising Advait Subrahmani Anand, Aarnav Rahul, and Pranav Santhosh, claimed the third position.
The grand valedictory ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Rtn. Venugopal C. Govind, former Rotary District Governor, alongside key Rotary leaders including Rtn. Liji Abraham, President of Rotary Club of Cochin Queen City, Event Chair Rtn. Mohan S. Menon, District Director Rtn. Satheesh Warrier, Assistant Governor Rtn. Balachandra Panicker, and GGR Rtn. Deepa Alex, who distributed trophies and merit certificates to the winning teams. Prominent Quiz Master P.G.R. Nair, who has expertly curated and hosted the Brain Hunt series since its inception, commended the remarkable intellectual vigor demonstrated by the participants, noting that the exponential growth of the competition reflects a rising passion among the younger generation for knowledge acquisition and intellectual inquiry across multidisciplinary domains.
