AI-Powered Art Creation Competition: “Waves” Launches Innovation Challenge

The AI Art Creation Competition, part of Waves, aims to explore the transformative potential of AI in arts, blending creativity and technology in innovative ways.

New Delhi: The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in collaboration with the Internet and Mobile Association of India, has launched an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Art Creation Competition. This competition aims to unite artists, designers, and AI enthusiasts to explore the fusion of artificial intelligence and artistic innovation.

Using AI-driven tools and technologies, participants are encouraged to push the boundaries of creativity, producing profound and emotive artistic works. The competition provides a platform to showcase the transformative potential of AI in the realm of art while promoting creative expression and technological advancement.

The primary goal of the competition is to highlight AI’s transformative capabilities in art, positioning India at the forefront of AI-based creative innovation. This event is part of the global creative summit, “Waves,” which aims to drive innovation within the media and entertainment industry. The competition is an integral part of the “Create in India” initiative, emphasizing the convergence of art and technology.

Over 70,000 participants have already registered for the competition. The summit will take place from May 1 to 4, 2025, at the Jio World Convention Centre and Jio World Gardens in Mumbai. The event will serve as a launchpad for emerging talents and provide a platform for collaboration and business opportunities.

Submission Guidelines

Participants are invited to submit a prototype or model that demonstrates the creative potential and emotional depth of their work. They must also include a project description detailing the process, inspiration, and AI technologies used. Visual representations, including images and 3D models, should accompany the submission. A short video (up to 5 minutes) explaining the concept and showcasing the model is also required.

Deadline for Applications: March 15, 2025.
