Justice A.K. Jayasankaran Nambiar underscores the necessity of continuous learning for doctors in light of the rapid advancements in medical science at AOICON 2025.
Kochi: Justice A.K. Jayasankaran Nambiar of the Kerala High Court stated that the field of medical science is progressing at an unprecedented pace. He was speaking at the inauguration of the 76th National Conference of the Association of Otolaryngologists of India (AOICON 2025), held at Le Meridien, Ernakulam. Justice Nambiar emphasized the importance of continuous learning for doctors to keep pace with the advancements in medical science. He also reminded the medical community to uphold human values, regardless of the challenges faced.
The event was presided over by Dr. Shankar B. Medikeri, the National President of AOI. During the ceremony, distinguished senior doctors, including Dr. Achal Gulati, Dr. Jayakumar Menon, Dr. A.M. Saha, and Dr. Anil Patel, were honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards. International delegates, including Dr. Richard Harvey, Dr. Thomas Lenarz, Dr. Nirmal Kumar, and Dr. Amal Isaiah, were conferred honorary membership by AOI.
Dr. Jacob Abraham, President of IMA Kochi, was the chief guest of the event and released the AOICON 2025 souvenir. The ceremony also marked the installation of Dr. Dwaipayan Mukherjee as the new National President of AOI.
Dr. Kaushal Seth, National Secretary, Dr. Yogesh Dhabolkar, Treasurer, AOICON 2025 Organizing Committee Chairman Dr. Mathew Dominic, Co-Chairman Dr. Mohammed Naushad, Secretary Dr. Praveen Gopinath, Treasurer Dr. K.G. Saju, State AOI President Dr. Shankar Mahadevan, and Secretary Dr. Amal John also addressed the gathering.
