AOICON 2025 will be a completely paperless conference,” said Dr. Mathew Dominic, Organizing Chairman of AOICON 2025.
Kochi: The 76th National Conference of the Association of Otolaryngologists of India (AOI), AOICON 2025, has introduced a dedicated mobile application to provide attendees with comprehensive details, including transportation. Named “Car Owner & Cart Owner (COCO),” the app, designed on the Uber model, ensures seamless transportation and parking solutions for conference delegates and locals alike. Dr. Mathew Dominic, Organizing Chairman of AOICON 2025, announced that the event would be entirely paperless. Welcoming arches made from bamboo will be installed as part of the event’s eco-friendly initiatives.
During the conference days, parking facilities will be arranged at vacant spaces in the area under the supervision of the Maradu Municipality. Delegates will be transported to the venue using Kochi Metro’s e-auto services. The event is expected to host around 4,000 doctors from India and abroad. Hotel rooms in Ernakulam and surrounding areas have already been booked for the participants’ stay.
The conference is anticipated to provide a significant boost to Kerala’s tourism sector. Students from various professional colleges in Ernakulam will serve as volunteers for the event. Ahead of the conference, demonstration sessions will be organized in collaboration with Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Lakeshore Hospital. AOICON 2025 will be held at Le Meridien, Ernakulam, from January 9 to 12, 2025.
