Kochi : The fourth edition of AutoSec Expo 2025, South India’s largest exhibition in the field of electronic security systems and automation, will be held on September 12 and 13 at the Kaloor International Stadium, under the leadership of the Kerala Chapter of the All Kinds of Electronic Security System Integrators Association (AKESSIA). The announcement was made at a press conference by Kerala Chapter President A.T. Jose, Secretary P.V. Shyamprasad, Treasurer Rijeesh Ramdas, AutoSec Chairman Sanjay Sanal, and Convener Deepu Oommen.

With recent changes in India’s CCTV regulations, the organizers highlighted the significance of this year’s expo. Supported by MSME, AutoSec Expo 2025 will be the first exhibition held after the Government of India made Standardization Testing and Quality Certification (STQC) mandatory for CCTV equipment sales in the country.

The STQC certification, introduced six months ago, is aimed at ensuring national security. Under the directive, CCTV and related security devices manufactured in countries sharing borders with India are not permitted for sale. Only equipment produced in India and meeting the STQC norms can now enter the market. Organizers further pointed out that, in the future, CCTV footage from uncertified cameras may not be admissible as legal evidence. While many companies manufacture security systems in India, only a limited number currently hold STQC approval, which is granted strictly to those meeting central government standards.

The expo aims to give the public an opportunity to explore certified companies’ latest CCTV models, advanced security systems, automation solutions, and cutting-edge technologies. Opposition Leader V.D. Satheesan will inaugurate the event on September 12 at 10:00 AM. MLAs P.V. Srinijin and Uma Thomas will also be present.

Over 100 companies, 500+ brands, and more than 100 stalls will participate. The event will also feature product demonstrations, company-led training sessions, and detailed presentations on new technologies. Public entry to the exhibition will be free of charge.

AKESSIA Kerala Vice President Sajay Kumar and AutoSec 2025 Committee members M.P. Likesh and Jerin Geevarghese also attended the press meet.
