Kochi has won Skal International’s Asia Area Club of the Year award, standing out among 43 tourism clubs across Asia.
Kochi: The Kochi chapter of Skal International, the global organization of travel and tourism industry professionals, has been honored with the Asia Area Club of the Year award. The award was received by Kochi chapter president Dr. Nirmala Lilly from Skal International President Dennis Skrafton. The event was also attended by former international president Richard Hawkins and Asia president Keith Jayaweer.
Founded in 1934, Skal International organizes an annual congress through its national and area committees to discuss developments and share updates in the travel and tourism industry. The organization also provides opportunities to conduct business among friends in the field. Skal International Asia comprises 43 clubs spread across regions in Thailand, Vietnam, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Qatar, Oman, UAE, India, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Taiwan, Indonesia, Israel, Hong Kong, Guam, Japan, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Nepal, Philippines, and Singapore.
