Muthoot Mini Financiers donates 2,600 dustbins to KSRTC to promote cleaner public transport across Kerala.
Kochi: Muthoot Mini Financiers, a well-known gold loan NBFC popularly referred to as “Yellow Muthoot,” has sponsored 2,600 dustbins for the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC).
This initiative aims to enhance waste management, promote a cleaner public transportation system, encourage environmental responsibility, and raise public awareness regarding cleanliness in public transit across Kerala. Out of the total dustbins, 2,000 will be installed inside KSRTC buses and the remaining 600 at various bus stations across the state.
The handover ceremony was held at the KSRTC bus station in Pathanapuram. The event was attended by Transport Minister K. B. Ganesh Kumar, senior KSRTC officials, C. U. Sreejith (Senior Zonal Manager, Muthoot Mini Financiers), and I. S. Pradeep (AVP – Marketing & Sales). Muthoot Mini Financiers CEO P. E. Mathai stated that the company believes its role in society extends beyond just financial services. He added that this initiative would not only offer cleaner travel experiences to thousands of passengers but also set an example of how companies can positively impact public services.
