Kochi: The Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) Kochi Chapter recently hosted a one-day Content Boot Camp aimed at media students, offering valuable industry insights and hands-on experience. The event, held at the Ernakulam YMCA in collaboration with the Ernakulam YMCA and Bumble Bee Brand, was designed to equip future media professionals with essential skills for the digital age.
The boot camp was inaugurated by Johny Lukose, Director of News—Manorama News, who shared an inspiring message on the evolving landscape of content creation in media. Babu Joseph, Chairman of PRCI Kochi Chapter, presided over the event, while Dr. T. Vinayakumar, National Secretary and Director of the Governing Council of PRCI, delivered the keynote address on the future of media and content in India.
The camp covered a wide range of topics, including content development, storytelling techniques, and the latest trends in digital media. Dr. Vinayakumar stressed the importance of adapting to rapid technological changes and maintaining a strong ethical approach in content creation.
Industry professionals, including National Vice President U.S. Kutty, Kerala Chapter Chairman Ram S. Menon, Kochi Chapter Secretary Manoj Manuel, Treasurer P.K. Nadesh, Camp Director M. Maya, and Program Convenor Sherin Wilson, also participated, offering their expertise and insights throughout the day. In addition, prominent figures such as C.A. Sen George (YMCA Ernakulam Executive Committee Chairman), Anto Joseph (General Secretary), Jeevanlal Ravi (Virad Creations), Vandana Mohandas (PRO, CUSAT), Smita D. Nair (Leniko Solutions), R.
