While investor-friendly initiatives have shown results, Kerala still has room for improvement in several sectors,” said former Ambassador Venu Rajamony
Kochi: Former Ambassador Venu Rajamony emphasized the need for proactive measures to attract more investors and companies to Kerala. Speaking at the Kerala Management Association’s (KMA) MKK Nair Memorial Lecture Series on the topic The New World Disorder, he highlighted the state’s untapped potential and the importance of marketing its strengths and favorable factors.
Rajamony acknowledged the progress made through investor-friendly initiatives but pointed out that Kerala has further strides to make in various fields. He urged the state to transform possibilities into opportunities. Commenting on global affairs, Rajamony noted the increasing unrest across nations and the rise of border and territorial disputes in the future. He also observed the inconsistencies in international stances on issues like the Russia-Ukraine conflict and Palestine, emphasizing the need for rational decision-making amidst differing opinions.
Rajamony praised MKK Nair’s unparalleled contributions to the management field, particularly his visionary reforms that elevated the Fertilizers and Chemicals Travancore (FACT) to its current stature. Former FACT Chief Engineer Gopakumar M. Nair delivered the MKK Nair Memorial Lecture. The event was presided over by KMA President Bibu Punnurann, with remarks from Memorial Lecture Committee Chairman A.C.K. Nair and KMA Joint Secretary Anil Varma.
