John Samuel wins the Cruise Comrade Literary Award for his celebrated work Vishwanadodikathamalika, to be honored on January 5 in Kochi.
Kochi: Esteemed journalist and author John Samuel has been awarded the prestigious Cruise Comrade Literary Award for his acclaimed work, Vishwanadodikathamalika, a five-volume masterpiece exploring global cultures and inspiring travel enthusiasts. The award recognizes exceptional literary contributions that celebrate cultural diversity and foster a spirit of exploration.
The ceremony will take place on January 5 at 11 a.m. at the Grand Hotel, Ernakulam, as part of the Cruise Conclave. Kiran Prakash, representative of Royal Caribbean Cruises, will present the award, which includes a cash prize of ₹25,000, a citation, and a commemorative plaque. The event will be presided over by renowned actor Aneesh Ravi.
“This recognition underscores the value of literature in bridging cultures and inspiring global exploration,” said Cruise Comrade Director Deepthi Verma, emphasizing the significance of the award in honoring exemplary literary achievements.
