Kochi witnessed a spectacular night of boxing as 14 Kerala fighters battled for a chance to qualify for Indian and World Boxing Council events, with the much-awaited Akshay Chahal vs Rohit bout ending in a draw.
Kochi | Sept 16, 2025 – Boxing enthusiasts in Kochi were treated to a night of electrifying action as fighters lit up the ring with fierce performances at the Title Pro Boxing Series One. The event, organized under the leadership of WBC Care World Champion and Title Boxing Club owner K.S. Vinod, was hosted by the Kerala Boxing Council.
A total of 14 professional boxers, carefully selected from across Kerala through multiple qualifying bouts, battled it out in the ring. Victorious fighters will now advance to the upcoming Indian Boxing Council tournament, with a chance to earn qualification for prestigious World Boxing Council events abroad.
One of the biggest highlights of the evening was the much-awaited Super Light Exhibition bout between Haryana’s Akshay Chahal and Rohit, a contest fans had been anticipating for months. Indian Boxing Council COO Vivek Raj expressed pride in hosting such a high-profile matchup in Kerala. The fight lived up to expectations, showcasing immense skill and competitiveness, and ultimately ended in a draw.
