K.S. Vinod is set to clash with Anas Mohammed in the WCB Fight of the Year 2025 in the UK, using the platform to promote youth participation in sports and uplift the Indian sporting community.
Kochi: April 28, 2025 – Under the leadership of the WCB (World Community Boxing), an exciting boxing event titled “WCB Fight of the Year 2025” will be held on May 3 at the Bamber Bridge Football Club Stadium in the UK. The event will feature a highly anticipated bout between K.S. Vinod, a Malayali and the reigning WBC Care Middleweight Boxing Champion, and rising boxing talent Anas Mohammed. The match is expected to draw an audience of over 3,000 spectators.
Organized by WCB, a prominent UK-based organization committed to uplifting underrepresented communities in the field of sports, this event is considered one of the major boxing competitions in the UK sporting calendar. Speaking about the event, K.S. Vinod stated that he accepted the challenge not for monetary gain, but to inspire more youth to engage in sports and to help them dream of becoming globally recognized athletes. He emphasized that the funds raised from the event will be used to support the development of sports in India, including providing sports equipment to aspiring athletes. Adv. K.V.
