The DGR-organised Job Fair at INS Venduruthy, Kochi, connected over 800 Ex-Servicemen with 43 national and multinational recruiters offering nearly 1,000 vacancies. The initiative reaffirmed the Ministry of Defence’s commitment to supporting meaningful second careers for India’s veterans.
The Job Fair was inaugurated by Upal Kundu, VSM, Chief of Staff, HQ Southern Naval Command. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from both industry representatives and Ex-Servicemen. Mr Benny KJ, Vice President – HR, Popular Vehicles, attended as the Corporate Guest of Honour.
Major recruiters at the event included Cochin Shipyard Ltd, Bharat Electronics Ltd, L&T Shipyard, Popular Motors, along with several other reputed corporate organisations.
The Job Fair served as a strategic platform for Ex-Servicemen to showcase their technical, operational, and administrative expertise, while enabling employers to access a highly disciplined, skilled, and experienced talent pool—reinforcing DGR’s continued commitment to facilitating meaningful second careers for India’s veterans.
