Chairman S.V. Manikandan stated that Moneyratna Group is not driven solely by profit, but places greater emphasis on customer happiness and satisfaction in all its initiatives.
Kochi: Moneyratna Group, a leading non-banking financial institution, has arranged a free air travel experience for its women customers. As part of the initiative titled “Swapna Theril,” 13 homemakers will travel from Kochi to Bengaluru and back tomorrow (23.04.2026).
The project was officially announced by Group Chairman S.V. Manikandan at a function held in Kochi, where the selected participants also received their flight tickets. During the event, two welfare initiatives—“Sthree Ratna,” aimed at women’s empowerment, and “Little Ratna,” focused on children’s development—were also introduced. The group will depart from Nedumbassery at 8 a.m. and return by evening. Addressing a press conference, Chairman S.V. Manikandan stated that this is the first time in Kerala that an NBFC has organized such an air travel experience for its customers.
He added that while televisions were previously given as customer rewards, the decision to offer air travel was inspired by studies indicating that only 22 percent of India’s population has experienced flying. The beneficiaries were selected through a lucky draw, and similar travel opportunities to various cities across India are planned in the coming years. Emphasizing that the Group does not operate solely for profit, he noted that customer happiness and satisfaction remain its top priorities. Under the “Little Ratna” initiative, the Group is currently sponsoring the complete education expenses of 20 students from the Government Higher Secondary School, Mananthavady.
Headquartered in Kochi, Moneyratna Group operates 58 branches across Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The Group comprises four companies—Moneyratna Integrated Foundation, Pratyagra Moneyratna Farmers Producer Company, Moneyratna Chits Private Limited, and NR Financial Services Private Limited—with over 250 employees and more than 30,000 customers. Managing Director Dhanya Manikandan, Siddharth Menon, General Manager C.P. Pramod, and Microfinance Operational Head N.P. Prajin also attended the press conference.
