Kochi : The newly elected Ernakulam district executive committee of the Kerala Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samiti (KVVES) for the 2026-28 term has officially assumed office. The committee, comprising the District President, General Secretary, Treasurer, Working President, and Acting General Secretary, along with four Vice Presidents, 12 Secretaries, 34 executive committee members, and 52 state council members, took charge during a meeting held at the District Vyapara Bhavan, presided over by District President P.C. Jacob. The meeting also selected E.M. Johny, Chairman of the EVM Group and a senior member, as the patron. Furthermore, the committee decided to expedite the construction of the new Vyapara Bhavan on the land acquired in Pallikkara and to bring the technical difficulties faced by merchants while renewing licenses through the K-SMART portal to the government’s attention.
