Kochi: DP World’s Marine Services business and shipping solutions has expanded its fleet capacity by acquiring DP World Indus, a container ship with a capacity of over 2,500 TEUs. The company announced that this move will boost cargo transportation capacity among India’s major ports.DP World Shipping Solutions’ coastal network currently spans 14 ports. Operating a fleet of 10 vessels, the company handled over 4.73 lakh TEUs of cargo in 2025. Ganesh Raj, Global Chief Operating Officer of DP World Marine Services, stated that the acquisition of the Indian-flagged DP World Indus will provide a reliable alternative to long-haul road transportation.
