Kochi: The 20th edition of the Jaipur Literature Festival will be held from January 14 to 18, 2027. Organised with the support of the Government of Rajasthan, the festival will bring together prominent personalities from the fields of literature, culture, education and art. Over the past two decades, the Jaipur Literature Festival has grown from a gathering of writers and readers in Jaipur into one of the world’s most prominent literary platforms. The festival has also played a significant role in transforming the way audiences in India and across the world experience, discuss and engage with literature.
India’s spirit lies in its rich literary heritage and linguistic diversity. As the festival marks the milestone of 20 years, it is fitting to celebrate the achievement by honouring India’s diverse languages through the ‘Bhasha Swarmala’ series, said Namita Gokhale, Co-Director of the Jaipur Literature Festival.
Since its inception in 2008, the festival has featured more than 8,000 writers, speakers and artists. The festival has recorded more than five million in-person visitors over the years.
