Kochi (26.09.2026): Kerala today stands as a model to the world in the healthcare sector, and people are coming even from foreign countries to seek treatment here because world-class medical care can be made available at a low cost, said MLA V. P. Sajeendran. He was speaking while inaugurating ‘TRAUMASICON 2026’, the 13th national conference organized by the Indian Association of Trauma and Critical Care at the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church Medical Mission (MOSC) Medical College, Kolenchery.
The primary objectives of this national conference are to equip hospitals and healthcare workers to handle unexpected trauma and emergency situations, and to further enhance patient care by leveraging technological advancements in the medical field. Jointly organized by the Departments of General Surgery, Critical Care, and Emergency Medicine at the Kolenchery Medical College, the conference also featured the annual CME program of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI) Kerala Chapter.
