KANNUR: Underscoring cross-service synergy and international defense cooperation, naval personnel from India and Sri Lanka currently undergoing the prestigious At Arms Specialisation Course at INS Mandovi completed a three-day professional interaction program at the Defence Security Corps (DSC) Centre, Kannur, from October 12 to 14, 2026.
The joint visit provided the participating naval trainees with comprehensive insights into the specialized training methodologies and operational mandates of the Defence Security Corps. During their stay, the officers and personnel engaged in interactive sessions with DSC Rakshaks, participated in tactical physical training modules, and witnessed live installation security drills. A key highlight of the visit included exposure to counter-unmanned aerial systems and modern UAV tactics at the Centre’s state-of-the-art Drone Training Node.
Fostering historical appreciation alongside modern operational familiarity, the delegation visited the DSC Archives and offered tributes at the Gaurav Sthal war memorial, reflecting on the Corps’ distinguished military heritage. The professional exchanges and shared training exercises served to reinforce jointness between the armed services while further strengthening bilateral defense bonds and friendship between India and Sri Lanka.
