CENJOWS : Second Annual Trident Lecture Defence Minister of State Sanjay Seth will inaugurate

NEW DELHI: Defence Minister of State Sanjay Seth will inaugurate the second Annual Trident Lecture of the Centre for Joint Warfare Studies (CENJOWS) at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi on September 1, 2026. Organised as part of CENJOWS’ anniversary celebrations under the theme ‘National Resurgence through the Lens of Defence Forces’, the event will feature a Special Address by the Minister on ‘Leveraging the Potential of Next Generation for Nation Building’. The programme will also include a Keynote Address by Air Marshal Tejinder Singh, Chief of Integrated Defence Staff to Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee (CISC) and Chairman of CENJOWS, on ‘Emerging Contours of Jointness and Integration’. Further special addresses will be delivered by Lt Gen Raj Shukla (Retd) on ‘Civil-Military Fusion: The Way for National Growth’, and by Lt Gen Sandeep Jain, Vice Chief of the Army Staff, on ‘Fighting Smartly: Multi-Domain Operations and The Concept of Jointness’.

The lecture will serve as a premier forum for senior military leadership and defence experts to deliberate on critical themes, including jointness, civil-military fusion, multi-domain operations, and the strategic role of the Armed Forces in nation-building. Discussions will focus on generating innovative concepts and approaches to foster seamless integration across services in response to evolving security challenges. Established in 2007 under the aegis of Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff, CENJOWS functions as a tri-services think tank dedicated to research, strategic analysis, and policy debates on joint warfare and national security. Through initiatives like the Trident Lecture, the institution continues to play a vital role in strengthening joint operational capabilities and facilitating high-level discourse on national defence strategies
