CIAL Announces Winter Schedule with 14.4% Surge in Flights

KOCHI: Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) has unveiled its Winter Schedule for 2026–2027, effective from October 26, 2026, to March 28, 2027, featuring a 14.4 percent increase in weekly aircraft movements from 1,544 to 1,766 flights. The expanded schedule introduces four additional weekly Air India Express flights to Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, expanding CIAL’s South-East Asian network alongside direct daily connections to Fujairah, Dubai, Dammam, and Kuwait powered by IndiGo and Akasa Air. In the domestic sector, IndiGo resumes daily operations to Kolkata and introduces new flights to Thiruvananthapuram, raising weekly domestic arrivals to 465 across 13 major destinations led by Bengaluru. S. Suhas IAS, Managing Director of CIAL, noted that the airport is strengthening regional and international connectivity while enhancing passenger convenience through initiatives such as home baggage collection and upgraded assistance services for passengers with special needs. Operating across 32 destinations with 28 airlines, CIAL will average 252 daily flight movements during the winter period.
