Kochi: Bisleri International’s ‘Bottles for Change’ initiative and the Indian Coast Guard (Kerala and Mahe) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to curb plastic pollution across coastal areas and marine ecosystems. This collaboration is part of the Indian Coast Guard’s ‘Plastic-Free Oceans’ mission. Along with strengthening the collection, segregation, and recycling of post-consumer plastic waste, the initiative will promote public awareness and sustainable waste management practices. Dr. Angelo George, Chief Executive Officer of Bisleri International, and Ashish Mehrotra, Deputy Inspector General of the Indian Coast Guard, signed the MoU. Both officials stated that this partnership will strengthen coastal and environmental conservation.
