KOZHIKODE: To honor the contributions of women in cybersecurity and promote their active participation in the industry, Wattlecorp Cybersecurity Labs, in collaboration with Govt Cyberpark Kozhikode, celebrated International Women in Cyber Day. Celebrated globally on September 1st, the event brought together female IT and cybersecurity professionals from various companies across the Cyberpark campus. Abdul Majeed, Director of IOSS and Executive Member of the Calicut Forum for IT (CAFIT), inaugurated the seminar. The session featured a key presentation on “Women in Cybersecurity” by Aysha Safna, Penetration Tester at Wattlecorp, highlighting the growing presence of women in the sector, emerging career opportunities, and overcoming industry challenges. Kalathil Karthik, Founder & Director of Wattlecorp and Vice President of CAFIT, emphasized the importance of fostering an inclusive environment and creating more avenues for women in cybersecurity.
