KOCHI: Deliberating the latest clinical advancements and therapeutic paradigms in women’s cancer care, the Kerala Chapter of the Association of Gynecologic Oncologists of India (KLSC AGOI) convened its annual two-day conference, ‘KAGOCON 2026’, at the IMA House in Kochi. The national conference brings together leading gynecologic oncologists, surgical specialists, and medical professionals from across the country to discuss modern diagnostic and treatment techniques.
The conference was officially inaugurated by Uma Thomas MLA, who lauded gynecologic oncologists for their dedicated efforts in combating complex cancers and restoring quality of life to patients. Presiding over the function, S.K. Abdulla, Managing Director of VPS Lakeshore, highlighted that medical science is currently experiencing a transformative phase driven by technological innovation. Emphasizing that gynecologic oncology represents hope, compassion, and courage, he called for collaborative efforts across disciplines to achieve breakthrough outcomes in cancer treatment.
During the inaugural ceremony, AGOI President Dr. Jita Parija officially switched on the ‘iGurukul’ educational website. Key addresses were also delivered by KLSC AGOI President Dr. K. Chitrathara, KAGOCON 2026 Patron Dr. P.K. Sekharan, and KLSC AGOI Secretary Dr. D. Adarsh.
