Kochi: V-Guard Industries Limited has appointed Mithun K. Chittilappilly as its new Chairperson and Managing Director, effective September 27, 2026. Mithun, who has served as the Managing Director since 2012, takes over the additional role of Chairperson following the completion of Radha Unni’s term as the current Chairperson and Independent Director. The Board of Directors selected Mithun to lead the company into its next phase of expansion as V-Guard approaches its 50th anniversary.
Mithun originally joined V-Guard as Executive Director in 2006. Under his leadership, the company transformed from a regional South Indian electrical brand into a major national consumer durables enterprise, driving revenue growth from ₹229 crore in 2006 to ₹5,966 crore in FY 2026—a 24-fold increase. Expressing pride in steering the company through this milestone transition, Mithun emphasized his focus on leveraging V-Guard’s strong foundation to accelerate future growth and innovation nationwide.
