Kozhikode: Neka Sulaiman has taken charge as the Director of the Hospitality Division of the real estate conglomerate, HiLITE Group. Neka is the daughter of HiLITE Group Chairman, P. Sulaiman. Alongside the appointment, HiLITE Group announced its ambitious plan to establish a hospitality network featuring 1,000 hotel rooms across various categories throughout Kerala by 2030. Having already established a massive presence in the retail, residential, and commercial sectors, the group’s new appointment comes as part of its strategy to make strong strides in the hospitality industry.
The group aims to develop a diverse portfolio of hotels spanning luxury, upscale, and midscale segments. Given the booming business, tourism, healthcare, and education sectors in Kozhikode district, special priority will be given to the city. Neka Sulaiman stated that their goal is to create hospitality hubs that become an integral part of the district’s commercial, cultural, and social life. She added that this is the most opportune time for it and specified that, beyond just numbers, her focus will be on providing top-tier facilities essential for a growing city.
HiLITE Group Chairman P. Sulaiman expressed that Neka’s sense of responsibility and capability will infuse new energy into the group. He added that her fresh perspectives are expected to bring major transformations to the hospitality sector.
Even during her student days, Neka was actively involved in the operations of ‘Hug a Mug’, HiLITE Group’s cafe brand, giving her practical, hands-on experience in the business world at the grassroots level. Neka completed her schooling at The White School International and holds a B.Com (Honours) degree. Furthermore, having qualified in CMA, she possesses advanced proficiency in finance and management sectors.
