Raksha Mantri Unveils ‘RAKSHA’ Defence Diplomacy Document Outlining 10-Year Strategic Roadmap

NEW DELHI:  Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh officially released ‘RAKSHA’, a comprehensive defence diplomacy framework outlining India’s strategic roadmap and vision for global defence partnerships over the next decade, in New Delhi on September 3, 2026. The policy document marks a significant evolution in India’s strategic posture, aligning national security goals with proactive global cooperation to promote long-term international stability and mutual growth. Key priorities outlined in the document include deepening bilateral and multilateral security cooperation, expanding joint military exercises and capacity-building initiatives, promoting Make-in-India defense platforms to position the country as a trusted global manufacturing hub, and strengthening India’s role as a Net Security Provider and First Responder in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR). The release event was attended by Chief of the Army Staff General Dhiraj Seth, Defence Secretary Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh, Secretary (Defence Production) Shri Sanjeev Kumar, MEA Secretary (East) Shri Rudrendra Tandon, Vice Chief of the Air Staff Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, Vice Chief of the Naval Staff Vice Admiral Ajay Kochhar, and CISC Air Marshal Tejinder Singh, along with senior officials from the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of External Affairs, and National Security Council Secretariat.
