Thiruvananthapuram: UST, a leading AI and technology transformation solutions company, has opened registration for the Gencys 2.0 Global Capture-the-Flag (CTF) competition, a key event of the Gencys 2.0 AI and Cybersecurity Conference being organised by the company.
The scale and scope of this year’s competition reflect UST’s commitment to developing AI and cybersecurity skills through practical challenges that mirror the security environments of modern enterprises.
Unlike traditional Capture-the-Flag competitions, the Gencys 2.0 CTF has been designed around a target domain. Participants will compete through realistic challenges covering monitoring, web security, cloud security and AI security initiatives.
The competition will begin with online qualification rounds, allowing participants to compete from anywhere in the world. The top-performing teams will qualify for the grand finale, which will be held as part of the Gencys 2.0 AI and Cybersecurity Conference at the UST campus in Thiruvananthapuram on September 5 and 6, 2026.
The conference will feature keynote sessions, technical discussions, expert-led workshops, panel discussions, innovation showcases, AI and cybersecurity villages, and hands-on experiences focused on the evolving cybersecurity landscape.
In addition to prizes worth more than ₹10 lakh, the winning team will receive a cash prize of ₹2 lakh along with vouchers and prizes worth ₹8 lakh from leading cybersecurity partners. Registration can be completed through https://events.ust.com/gencys2026, officials said.
