Sri Lanka to Host Global Twins Festival 2026

Upuli Gamage, Founder and President of the Sri Lanka Twins Organization and International Director of the International Human Rights Organization, announces the appointment of Vinod Kalarickal Sukumaran (K.S. Vinod), World Boxing Council (WBC) Care Middleweight Champion and WBC Care Ambassador for Australia and Dubai, as the Global Ambassador of the Global Twins Festival Sri Lanka 2026. Also seen are Adv. K.S. Sabu, National Coordinator, and Major Mahinda Hettiarachchi, Chief Organizer of the festival.

Kochi: The Sri Lanka Twins Organization (SLTO) will host the Global Twins Festival Sri Lanka 2026, the annual gathering of the Global Twins and Multiple Birth Organisation, organizers announced at a press conference held at the Ernakulam Press Club.

Addressing the media, Upuli Gamage, Founder and President of the Sri Lanka Twins Organization and International Director of the International Human Rights Organization, along with Major Mahinda Hettiarachchi, Chief Organizer of the festival, said that the event will be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from October 24 to 28, 2026. The festival is expected to attract participants from more than 50 countries.

The Global Twins and Multiple Birth Organisation is a worldwide network that brings together twins, triplets, and multiple-birth families from across the globe. Organizers said the festival is expected to become one of the largest international gatherings of twins ever hosted in Asia.

The event will provide a unique platform for twins and multiple-birth families to connect, share experiences, celebrate their identities, and build lasting international friendships. It will also promote cultural understanding, international cooperation, and people-to-people diplomacy among participants from diverse cultural backgrounds.

The Organizing Committee of the Global Twins Festival Sri Lanka 2026 has unanimously appointed Vinod Kalarickal Sukumaran, World Boxing Council (WBC) Care Middleweight Champion and WBC Care Ambassador for Australia and Dubai, as the Global Ambassador of the Festival. Adv. K.S. Sabu has been appointed as the National Coordinator.

Festival highlights include an International Twins Float Parade, International Twins Cultural Exchange Programmes, Sightseeing Tours and Excursions, Awards and Recognition Ceremonies, Global Twins Fellowship Activities, and the launch of the Official Festival Magazine.

Twins Johny Joby and Paul Joby, along with Vinod Kalarickal Sukumaran and Adv. K.S. Sabu, also attended the press conference.
