KVVES celebrated National Trade Day across the state

Kochi: The Kerala Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi (KVVES) celebrated National Trade Day across the state with various programs organized by its state, district, and unit committees. The celebrations were inaugurated by the respective presidents through flag hoisting ceremonies. State Treasurer and Ernakulam District President P.C. Jacob inaugurated the district-level celebrations by hoisting the flag at his parent unit in Pachalam. He stated that priority would be given to strengthening the organization by establishing more units in different regions, providing posthumous financial assistance to the dependents of deceased members through the district welfare fund, and implementing health insurance schemes more effectively.

At the Palluruthy unit, President Sunil Kumar hoisted the flag. A public meeting held at the Palluruthy Merchant Welfare Society Hall honored MLAs Muhammed Shiyas and Deepak Joy, District President P.C. Jacob on his election as State Treasurer, and District Working President Jimmy Chakyath on his election as State Secretary. Awards were also distributed to the children of members who achieved high marks in the SSLC and Plus Two examinations. District Vice President Delight Paul, District Working General Secretary Shajahan Abdul Khader, Youth Wing State Working President Pradeep Joseph, Youth Wing State Committee Member Deepu Joseph, District Committee Member C.P. Xavier, Unit General Secretary K.P. Jayan, Treasurer T.M. Ibrahim, K.P. Jain, and P.P. Vineeth spoke at the event.

At the Edappally Toll Vyapara Bhavan, Unit President Abdul Aziz hoisted the flag, and interest-free loans were distributed to 50 traders. Flag hoisting ceremonies were also led by Unit Presidents M.R. Mohanan in Kottuvally, P.P. Roy in Thiruvananthoor, V.M. Martin in Koonammavu, Vincent at the Vyttila Merchant Union, and Jose Nettikkadan at the Perumbavoor Merchant Association.
