Kochi :Big-budget revenge action thriller ‘Varavu’, directed by Shaji Kailas and starring Joju George in the lead, will premiere exclusively on ZEE5 from September 11, 2026. Produced by Naisy Reji and scripted by A.K. Sajan, the film features an ensemble cast including Arjun Ashokan, Murali Gopy, Vani Viswanath, Saniya Ayyappan and Baiju Santhosh. The story follows ‘Poly’, who returns home after serving a prison sentence and sets out in search of his missing younger brother. His journey leads him into a fight for justice against powerful figures responsible for destroying his family.
Joju George said he considers it a great privilege to play a prominent role in a Shaji Kailas film for the first time. Director Shaji Kailas said the film explores Joju George’s potential as an action star while also showcasing the intensity of his performance. Lloyd C. Xavier, Senior Vice President – Marketing, South, ZEE5, added that ‘Varavu’, which combines Shaji Kailas’ signature mass-action filmmaking style with strong performances, promises to offer ZEE5 viewers an engaging visual spectacle.
