Chennai to Host 10th International Uniform Manufacturers Fair Bringing Uniform and Towel Industries Together

KOCHI: The Solapur Garment Manufacturers Association (SGMA) has announced the 10th International Uniform Manufacturers Fair, scheduled to be held from December 9 to 11, 2026, at Hall No. 4, Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam, Chennai. Marking a historic first for India’s textile sector, the event brings together the nation’s uniform and towel manufacturing industries on a shared platform. The three-day B2B trade exhibition will feature over 150 leading national brands, showcasing more than 25,000 uniform and textile designs alongside over 3,000 towel and napkin collections under the ‘Vibrant Towel’ initiative, including traditional Solapur Chaddars. Driven by accelerating demand across educational institutions, corporate establishments, and healthcare sectors, the global uniform market—valued at USD 65 billion in 2023—is projected to maintain a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4 percent through 2030. Highlighting Solapur’s large-scale manufacturing expertise, high quality standards, and adherence to delivery timelines, the fair reinforces the ‘Make in India’ mission. Having originated in Solapur in 2017 and subsequently expanding across major hubs including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Varanasi, SGMA initiatives have incubated over 300 successful entrepreneurs to date.
