South Indian Bank Unveils Heartwarming Diwali Short Film Centered on the Theme ‘Invest in Relations’

KOCHI:In step with its core brand philosophy of ‘Invest in Relations’, South Indian Bank has released its highly anticipated Diwali campaign film. The digital short film champions the message that beyond traditional festivities, the true light of Diwali lies in shared joy, compassion, and human connection. Within 48 hours of its digital release across multiple platforms, the campaign film crossed two crore (20 million) views, receiving an overwhelming response from audiences nationwide.

Set against the backdrop of a Diwali open-mic stage, the narrative opens with engaging questions posed by the lead character: “What is the sweetest of all Diwali sweets? What shines brighter than festival lamps? What sparkles brighter than celebratory firecrackers?” The film then unfolds three poignant, heartwarming vignettes illustrating empathy, togetherness, and altruism. While sweets, diyas, and crackers remain central to Diwali, the film beautifully reinforces that the brightest part of the celebration is the happiness we bring into each other’s lives. Available in five languages—Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Marathi—the multi-lingual campaign ensures deep resonance across diverse regional communities.

Commenting on the launch, Sony A., Chief General Manager & Chief Information Officer, South Indian Bank, stated that festivals become truly meaningful when celebrated through shared bonds. He noted that the bank’s ‘Khushiyaan Badhaao, Diwali Manaao’ campaign celebrates the joy of mutual care, anchoring the belief that investing in relationships is the most rewarding investment of all. Dr. Ramesh K.P., Marketing Head, South Indian Bank, added that the bank deeply values the enduring trust built with its customers over decades, emphasizing that beyond everyday banking, genuine affection and care strengthen connections, which this Diwali film seeks to inspire through small gestures of love.

Produced under the banner of Prakkat Films, the campaign film is written by Sharath Prakash and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Martin Prakkat, with original musical scoring composed by Shivahari Varma.
