Kochi: Integrating the Football World Cup with academics, Cochin Public School organized a program titled ‘Football Beyond the Field’ with active participation from all students. The initiative aimed to foster creativity, self-confidence, leadership, communication skills, cooperation, and team spirit among the students. This football-integrated learning and training program was designed in alignment with the concept of skill development outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP).
During the morning assembly, where every student arrived carrying a football, subjects such as Science, Mathematics, Geography, History, and English were made experiential for the children through the medium of football. The students presented the scientific aspects of football, the history of the game, global football nations, and sports-related linguistic expressions. School Principal Jabeena Ibrahim inaugurated the event. School Manager Dr. Anwar Hussain, Head Boy Hadif Ahmed, Head Girl Nima Shafeeq, and Sports Captain Bernard Leo also addressed the gathering. First aid and emergency medical support for the children were provided under the guidance of Futureace Hospital Edappally.
