Kochi: Prominent entrepreneur and Lakeshore Hospital Chairman Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil has been appointed to the Executive Board of the World Economic Forum’s Digital Healthcare Transformation Initiative. The global appointment recognises his extensive experience and contributions to the healthcare sector. Dr. Shamsheer is the Founder and Chairman of Burjeel Holdings, one of the leading healthcare providers in the Middle East.
Operating under the World Economic Forum’s Centre for Health and Healthcare, the Executive Board is a global public-private collaboration aimed at driving safe, responsible and transformative change in healthcare through the use of artificial intelligence (AI), digital technologies and health data.
Dr. Shamsheer joins a distinguished board comprising leading global CEOs, ministers and international experts. Other members include Mayo Clinic CEO Gianrico Farrugia, Medtronic CEO Geoff Martha, Philips CEO Roy Jakobs, Saudi Minister of Health Fahad bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel and Apollo Hospitals Managing Director Suneeta Reddy.
Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil expressed his happiness at the opportunity to collaborate with international leaders in leveraging digital technologies and AI for patient-centred care.
