Gopal Vittal Re-Elected as Chair of GSMA Board for 2027–2028 Term

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The GSMA Board of Directors has re-elected Gopal Vittal as Chair for the 2027–2028 term. Vittal currently serves as the Executive Vice Chairman of Bharti Airtel, the world’s second-largest mobile operator by subscriber base. Under this re-election, he will continue in his leadership role through December 2028. Vittal, who has served as GSMA Chair since 2025, has been an active member of the GSMA Board for the past decade.In addition to Vittal’s re-appointment, the GSMA Board elected Margherita Della Valle as Co-Deputy Chair and re-elected Ralph Mupita as Co-Deputy Chair for the upcoming term.
