THIRUVANANTHAPURAM : Gujarat emerged victorious as champions of the Envestnet Zenith Trophy 2026 All-India National Blind Cricket Tournament for Women, defeating host state Kerala by 9 wickets in the grand finale held at the Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram. Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Kerala posted a total of 115 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Gujarat chased down the target of 116 runs with remarkable ease, reaching 116 for 1 in just 13.3 overs to secure the championship title.
Gujarat’s Kalpana Choria was named Player of the Match for her match-winning, unbeaten half-century of 54 runs. Demonstrating exceptional skill throughout the tournament, Advaita Santosh (Kerala), Deepa Saxena (Haryana), and Kalpana Choria (Gujarat) were jointly awarded the Players of the Tournament honors. Member of Parliament / Leader V. Muraleedharan presented the trophy to the winning team at the valedictory ceremony, which was also attended by World Blind Cricket Council Secretary Rajaneesh Henry, Envestnet representative Santhosh Kesavan, and UST representative Vineeth Mohan.
