KOCHI: Honda Cars India has officially named its first Made-in-India electric SUV as the ‘Honda Alpha’, with its global debut scheduled to take place in India on December 2. Taking inspiration from the first letter of the Greek alphabet, the name ‘Alpha’ signifies the brand’s new beginning in the Indian electric vehicle segment. Originally showcased in concept form at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, the electric SUV is engineered to seamlessly adapt to both urban commutes and outdoor environments. Marking a significant brand evolution, Honda also introduced its newly redesigned global ‘H’ mark badge in the Indian market, with the Honda Alpha becoming the first model worldwide to carry this new iconic emblem.
